The Oscar Award 2017  end with an unusual drama as La La Land is wrongly announced for best picture instead of Moonlight. “There’s a mistake. Moonlight, you won best picture,” Fred Berger, the La La Land producer announced showing the card. Warren Beatty ,who announced the wrong name, said he had been given the wrong envelope to open. La La Land had to hand the best picture award over to Moonlight, but they get six other including Best Actress and Best Director.

Mahershala Ali became first Muslim actor to win an Oscar for role in Moonlight

Mahershala Ali won the Academy Award for best supporting actor for his portrayal of a drug dealer in Moonlight, becoming the first Muslim to be awarded Oscar for acting.
